INTRODUCTION
Issues that this hotfix package fixes
When you view the Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 calendar in monthly view, the calendar truncates the subject and the location of an appointment.
When you forward a meeting cancellation request from the Deleted Items folder, Office Outlook 2007 crashes.
The Graphics Device Interface object leaks in Office Outlook 2007.
You create a new e-mail message in Office Outlook 2007 and you insert a link in the e-mail message. The link that you insert links to a local file. When you click the link for the first time, the file opens successfully. However, when you click the link for the second time, you receive an error.
Office Outlook 2007 crashes when you use a Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code to access the selection of an explorer object.
Consider the following scenario: You create a recurring meeting in the Office Outlook 2007 calendar and you invite another user.
This user accepts the invitation.
You change the time for one occurrence of the recurring meeting series and you send the update.
The user accepts the update.
You change the recurrence of the meeting series and you send the update.
You create a recurring meeting in the Office Outlook 2007 calendar and you invite another user.
This user accepts the invitation.
You change the time for one occurrence of the recurring meeting series and you send the update.
The user accepts the update.
You change the recurrence of the meeting series and you send the update.
In this scenario, the user receives the update for the recurring meeting series. However, the user also receives a cancellation for the occurrence that you changed.
You open an .eml file in Office Outlook 2007. You reply or you forward the message that you opened. You close the message window. In this scenario, you find that the message is saved in the Inbox.
When you clear the recurrence pattern for a recurring meeting series in the Office Outlook 2007 calendar, the exceptions in the recurrence meeting series are not removed.
Multiple managed add-ins for Office Outlook 2007, especially Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System (VSTO) FormRegions, unintentionally leak a reference to an inspector object occasionally. When this happens on a DistListItem inspector, the RenItem runs indefinitely.
When you send an encrypted e-mail message to a contact who has a certificate that is not valid for encryption, you receive an error.
When you reply or you forward an e-mail message that you receive in Office Outlook 2007, the e-mail stays in outbox and is not delivered. The Send/Receive progress dialog box has an unusual, cryptic error. This indicates that the Outlook Address Book transport send was canceled.
Consider the following scenario between a manager and a delegate: On the delegate's computer, the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Options\Calendar\ExtractOrganizedMeetings is set to 1.
The delegate creates a recurring meeting request on behalf of the manager and the delegate adds themselfto the meeting request.
When the delegate sends the meeting request, the delegate is asked:
Would you like to update your own calendar now?
The delegate selectsYes.
In the manager’s calendar, the time for one occurrence of the recurring meeting series is changed.
On the delegate's computer, the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Options\Calendar\ExtractOrganizedMeetings is set to 1.
In this scenario, the delegate receives a meeting update for the change that is made in the manager’s calendar. However, this meeting update is not processed and cannot be accepted. Instead, the delegate receives a notification:
As the meeting organizer, you do not have to respond to the meeting.
Internet Free/Busy lookup fails for meetings that are in the secondary calendar.
If you have an add-in installed in Office Outlook 2007, Office Outlook 2007 may crash when the Item.Close event occurs.
When multiple outlook clients are connected in online mode, you find that duplicate messages were sent intermittently.
You create a yearly recurring event on a Windows Mobile device, and you synchronize the Windows Mobile device with a computer that is running Office Outlook 2007. However, in both the Office Outlook 2007 calendar and on the Windows Mobile device, the recurring event shows that it will occur every 12 years instead of every year (12 months) after you perform the synchronization.
